“ this new cafe is a welcome addition to the town. It's a husband and wife team and they are so warm and friendly. I'm always on the look-out for veggie options, and Chaplin's breakfast doesn't disappoint, a lovingly crafted set of beans, succulent mushrooms, perfect egg and tomato, and the not so easy to find addition of melt-in-the-mouth sweet soft peppers, scrummy , served with quality thick toast and all for around £6 ! The tea and coffee is good and this cafe wins hands down for its value for money....incredibly cheap compared to others. I never get charged a premium for alternative milk (this is a deal breaker wherever I go) They also bake lovely sweet finger cakes etc Great atmosphere, an oasis of calm and friendliness. It's become my regular stop off within a matter of days. ”

“ Lovely little cafe, with wonderful people. I’d definitely recommend it This family business always welcomed us with a smiling face. Really quick service without being pushy. They have a large coffee menu for coffee lovers. I drank (many times) Americano and Turkish Coffee. They were always fresh and have very good taste. You should definitely try the Moon Dessert and Chaplin breakfast, which are the speciality of this cafe. Always LOVE going back ”

“ Absolutely magical. Warm friendly attentive staff. My omelette and fresh salad was out of this world. The best omelette I've had in a long time. Cooked to perfection and salad fresh, seasonal and well presented and perfect portion. Great value for money and I thoroughly recommend Chaplins petite cafe to anyone visiting beautiful Broadstairs. ”

“ A blessing I chose this little cafe among the many others in Broadstairs, situated minutes from the station on the high street, I felt some very positive vibes as soon as I saw this lovely lady serving other customers with a big smile. The cafe is tiny, however very, very cosy, the food is cooked by the owner is very tasty, fresh, generous and at a very reasonable price. The place is spotless clean and the owner and his wife are the sweetest couple, very friendly, kind, discreet and cheerful. We had a very nice chat and I had great fun. I loved my breakfast time there and will go back soon. 5 stars do not do justice here, more like 100 ”

“ You already get the idea reading other reviews 10/10, if not more. My partner spotted this cafe and wanted to try. You are welcomed with smiling faces, served with fresh food and great prices! My partner and I had lunch here and breakfast the following day. Lunch = cheese and ham omelette, coffee, vanilla milkshake, Meatballs in a baguette with tomatoes and onions, comes with a can of coke Breakfast = mini English breakfast, Chaplin special breakfast, apple juice, flat white coffee, vanilla milkshake to take away Both meals came up to or less than £25! Very affordable Thank you kindly for our wonderful experience ”

“ Amazing service, very hospitable (went out of their ways to join the tables together). Lovely homemade moon dessert. Loved the hot drinks, especially the cappuccino which is the reason why we came back twice in two days. Very clean establishment and value for money. Fully recommend this independent family ran service. ”
